The inspiration for the design was a wall at the Osaka Castle in Osaka, Japan. The interlocking stones and their pitted surfaces are recreated using hand drawn textures and color halftones. It is a repeating tile print so that when viewed together with other prints in the edition it forms a continuous pattern.
