We are thrilled to announce Mark Dion’s first ever glass edition, Blood Red Coral, offered exclusively by the Wassaic Project in celebration of our 15th anniversary year.

This edition expands on Dion’s interest in coral and1 its hallowed place in 16th and 17th-century cabinets of curiosities. Each individually flameworked piece features unique, vintage hanging elements sourced by the artist for this edition, all enclosed in a hand-blown glass cloche.

Dion has made three prints through our edition program, but Blood Red Coral marks his first sculptural edition with us. It’s an extension of what we do every day in our residency, exhibitions, and education programs: work with artists to facilitate new ways of making. Each purchase of this edition goes directly towards funding those programs, helping ensure that the next 15 years of the Wassaic Project will be even more transformative than our first 15 years.
