Fieldwork

Fieldwork is a quarterly, coffee-table newspaper celebrating the power of making—crafted stories, photographed with care, and printed to be kept. Rooted in the Litchfield + Dutchess region, it’s an antidote to the scroll: a tactile publication that follows artisans, farmers, builders, and makers as they shape materials into objects (and lives) with intention. Fieldwork is as much about place as it is about process—where hands meet land, studios, tools, seasons, and the quiet pride of doing things well.

In Issue #1, you’ll find visual-led features and portraits that bring you inside workshops and workdays—close-up details, tools, textures, and the human rhythm behind the finished piece. Expect stories that move between craft and landscape, tradition and modern design, with a centerfold poster designed to live on a wall. It’s a collectible first edition: made to be read slowly, revisited, and passed along—like a little field guide to the makers shaping our corner of the world.
